The purpose of this project is to educate the youth within our communities about the positives and negatives associated with mobile usage. The project is justified by the innovative opportunities that mobile service providers such as “Rlab” and others provide, further justifications are the negative social impacts resulting in increased child abuse and mobile caused accidents, lastly mobile awareness is a viable project given the large outreached to the primary targeted youth ages between 14 – 24 females being the most predominated and frequent mobile users.
The project objectives are as follows:
- Increase the knowledge of both parents and children.
- Increase mobile support services awareness.
- Draw attention and interest of private companies, government and the communities to expand the campaign to other schools and institutions.
The general scope of the project is to address to two primary schools within the cape flats community, between periods 25 July and 20 October, with a basic yet educational presentation that all primary school students understand.
